RSG’s Turner recognised with Spirit of Life award

Tim Turner, the president of Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) and chairman and chief executive officer of RT Specialty, has been named the 2021 Spirit of Life Honoree by the National Insurance Industry Council (NAIC).

The Spirit of Life award is handed out by the City of Hope, a US cancer research institute and health centre. It is presented to individuals from different industries every year whose professional and humanitarian accomplishments are worthy of celebration.

Turner has spent more than 30 years in the insurance industry. He joined RSG in 2010 to build RT Specialty, the group’s wholesale brokerage business, before which he was president of CRC Insurance Services. Earlier in his career he served as a casualty broker at Crump Group, before being named as president of its Chicago Office. He started his insurance career as a casualty broker with AJ Renner & Associates in 1987.
