Captive Alternatives adopts new enterprise information system

Captive Alternatives (CapAlt), the insurance consultancy that pioneered the Protected Captive business model, has begun using a new enterprise information management (EIM) system to improve its client service.

After extensive due diligence, CapAlt said it chose M-Files, a provider of solutions that dramatically improve how enterprises manage documents and other information.

M-Files provides an affordable and easy-to-implement EIM platform with a simple user interface and a foundation that delivers enterprise-class high availability, scalability and security.

CapAlt will employ M-Files to power its integrated platform for 2016 including management of the client on-boarding and renewal processes as well as powering the client and partner portals.

The platform will improve ability for users to locate any record and manage multiple revisions of core legal paperwork, a critical ability in an industry that is so highly concerned about regulatory oversight and compliance.

“For businesses like CapAlt that manage a huge amount of data and paper, M-Files provides the ability to quickly gain control over information, introduce graphical workflows to optimise business process efficiency, and improve quality and compliance management through effective document control,” said George Bergmark, president of GT Solutions International, the Atlanta-area authorized M-Files reseller provisioning the CapAlt solution.

David Kirkup, chief operating officer and chief financial officer, CapAlt, added: “The Captive Management industry has evolved slowly and is rife with inefficient, expensive work-arounds and small scale solutions.

“Our mission in adopting an EIM is to create a highly scalable platform to enable the rapid growth we’re seeing at CapAlt.”
