SRS adds two to complete its Guernsey management team
Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has made two hires to complete the management team of its newly established office in Guernsey, alongside Peter Child.
Elyse Dandeker and Stephen Nash will join SRS as director of accounting services and director of insurance services, respectively.
Dandeker will take up her new position on June 7, 2021. She joins from Willis Towers Watson (WTW) where she has spent the last five years serving as account director, leading teams in all aspects of captive management.
Before joining WTW she was senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Channel Islands. She also completed a secondment with PwC in Perth, Western Australia, auditing clients in the oil and gas as well as mining industries.
Nash will join SRS later in the year. He previously spent 27 years with Artex Risk Solutions in Guernsey, holding the position of client insurance manager. At Artex he was primarily accountable for the provision of technical insurance advice and services to a number of captive clients, including those engaged in the global natural resources, international finance, legal and logistics industries.
He also ran a protected cell company that acted as a commercial reinsurer providing a range of niche reinsurance products to specialist insurers in the UK market.
Peter Child, managing director for SRS in Guernsey, takes up his new role on July 26, 2021. The three executives form the foundation of its Guernsey operations, the base from which SRS will manage its expansion into onshore and offshore jurisdictions in Europe.
Brady Young, chief executive officer and chairman of SRS, said: “Our business in Europe is important strategically and financially to SRS and we believe the long-term opportunity is significant.”
Derek Bridgeman, managing director of SRS Europe, added: “We anticipate several additional local hires and recognise that Guernsey’s stable, proportionate and responsive regulatory approach complements our global expansion initiatives around captives, commercial management and insurance-linked securities.”
