Connecticut’s chief captives and RRG regulator passes away
Janet Grace, the director of the captive insurance division at the State of Connecticut Insurance Department, has passed away, following a six year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Grace had been the chief captives and risk retention group regulator in Connecticut since 2015. In that role she worked tirelessly to make Connecticut an attractive and well regulated jurisdiction for captives, and her efforts were appreciated by everyone who came into contact with her.
Before taking on that role she had worked as a consultant with Towers Watson, and she also served as a senior underwriter with The Hartford Insurance Company.
