Elliott named as GIIA chair

The Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) has named Mark Elliott as its new chair.

Elliott is the chief executive officer of Humbolt Re in Guernsey and succeeds Mike Johns as the GIIA’s leader.

Adele Gale has been elected as deputy chair, while Ian Drillot remains in his role as association treasurer.

Elliott said: “I am looking forward to capitalising on the growth opportunities we have in the industry as well as supporting our members. I am particularly keen to build and promote our ESG credentials and work with We Are Guernsey's wider strategy for green and sustainable finance."
