Coca-Cola receives approval to expand captive

Red Re, Coca-Cola’s South Carolina-domiciled captive insurer, has received approval from the US Department of Labor to expand its use to include benefits coverage.

Red Re, one of three captive insurers employed by Coca-Cola, is now eligible to reinsure group term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment policies written by Metropolitan Life Insurance.
