William “Jay” Branum, who served most recently as managing director of Munich-American Risk Partners in London, has accepted the newly created role of director of captives.
Ray Farmer, director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance, said: “a longtime proponent of properly structured and utilised captives, Jay’s knowledge and expertise will be an asset to the department.”
Farmer added that he expects Branum to be a convincing advocate for South Carolina’s “progressing, business-friendly approach”.
