Skyward Specialty hires accident and health veteran
Skyward Specialty has appointed medical stop-loss veteran Phil Giles as the company’s chief growth officer in its accident and health division.
Giles has nearly 38 years of expertise in medical stop-loss and “brings unparalleled experience and a highly respected reputation to our team”, the company said.
“His strategic insights and deep industry relationships are set to drive significant growth and innovation for Skyward Specialty, particularly as the division further invests in captives.”
Giles previously worked for HCC Insurance, Artex Risk Solutions, QBE North America as well as co-founding MSL Captive Solutions.
“Phil will play a pivotal role in identifying emerging markets and supporting our expansion efforts,” the company said. “His profound understanding of employee benefit captives will be instrumental in developing strategic solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. This leadership change underscores our commitment to providing innovative, consultative solutions within the alternative risk industry.”
Skyward Specialty offers commercial property and casualty products and solutions on a non-admitted and admitted basis. The company operates through eight underwriting divisions — Accident & Health, Captives, Global Property & Agriculture, Industry Solutions, Professional Lines, Programs, Surety and Transactional E&S.
