SRS unveils new director

Michael Arcangel (pictured) has been promoted to director at Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS).

As a part of his new duties, he will run feasibility studies on whether a captive makes sense, lead captive formations and redomestications end-to-end, turning regulatory requirements into practical next steps, apply a former regulator’s lens to surface the questions reviewers will ask before the application is filed and support captive underwriting and AM Best BCAR modelling to ensure structures hold up under scrutiny.

Arcangel started as a consultant at SRS in October 2023. He had previously been a captive analyst at the North Caroline Department of Insurance, starting as a captive insurance financial analyst in July 2016, before rising to the post of chief captive analyst when he left in October 2023.

Arcangel was one of the finalists in the first ever edition of FORTY Under 40, published in 2023.
