Vermont cancels captive trade mission to Mexico
The Vermont insurance industry trade mission to Mexico City, Mexico, on March 24, 2020, has become the latest captive event to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.
In a statement, Vermont’s director of financial services vowed the event’s organisers would “work diligently to reschedule the event in Mexico City once this public health emergency has been removed.”
The statement said the decision had been taken in consultation with state and federal government officials in the US and Mexico out of “an abundance of caution,” and concern for the health and well-being of event registrants and colleagues.
