The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has appointed Kim McCray-Woodruff (pictured) as director of learning and professional development.
McCray-Woodruff was described by the VCIA as “a lifelong learner” and “skilled educator” whose work experience “includes a blend of relevant experiences in education (informal, formal, and higher education), public programs, professional development, and adult learning.”
She has over 20 years of working experience in the museum field, working in a variety of museums (the Smithsonian Institution’s National Postal Museum, the Nantucket Historical Association, Shelburne Museum).
She has also taught as a full-time Lecturer for Baylor University’s Museum Studies Program. She currently teaches as adjunct faculty for Johns Hopkins University’s Master of Arts in Museum Studies Program.
In a comment on LinkedIn, the association stated: “Kim will play a pivotal role in leading VCIA’s enhanced educational offerings as directed by our strategic plan, which is currently being planned and executed for this year and years to come.”
