VCIA opens registration for VCIA 2026
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has opened registration for VCIA 26, the 41st VCIA Annual Conference, to be held August 11–13, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in South Burlington, Vermont.
Registration and hotel block information are available at vcia.com.
VCIA 26 marks the first annual conference under the leadership of new VCIA president Ian Davis and introduces a new evergreen conference logo and tagline ––“Where the Captive World Comes Together” –– reflecting the convergence of the captive industry, the momentum of the VCIA community, and Vermont’s continued rise as the world’s leading domicile.
“This conference has always been about learning, connection, and progress,” said Davis. “I’m honoured to help build on that legacy as we gather together in Burlington this August.”
Now in its 41st year, the VCIA Annual Conference draws more than 1,100 attendees from across the United States and multiple countries and has earned its reputation as the must-attend event of the captive calendar.
According to the VCIA the key elements of VCIA 26 include:
• Pre-Conference Captive Immersion (August 10): A deep-dive educational session designed for both newcomers to the captive space and seasoned practitioners seeking a comprehensive refresher.
• World-Class Education: Sessions spanning emerging risks, market volatility, regulatory developments, tax and compliance, technology, and more. NASBA CPE, VT CLE, ICCIE professional credits available for most sessions.
• Unmatched Networking: The largest single concentration of captive professionals anywhere — including captive owners, risk managers, domicile regulators, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and service providers from around the world.
• Sold-Out Exhibitor Hall: A thriving marketplace showcasing the full ecosystem of captive services and solutions, with exhibitors representing every corner of the industry.
• Special Events: VCIEL opening reception, exhibitor reception, and Hotel Vermont reception — all designed to build the connections that drive the captive industry forward. Plus, a high-profile closing keynote luncheon.
“The captive industry continues to grow in sophistication and strategic importance,” said VCIA Board Chair Gail Newman. VCIA 26 is where the people shaping its future come to find each other. We look forward to welcoming the captive world to Burlington this August.”
