Willis appoints new CEO for captive management

Willis has announced the appointment of Paul Owens as CEO of the newly-formed Willis Global Captive Management division.

Owens will lead the formation of Willis Global Captive Management, bringing together the captive operations of Willis in North America, Europe and International into a single cohesive business.

Owens has worked within Willis since the 1990s, most recently as the company’s chief operating officer and has deep knowledge of the captive area.

Commenting on Owens’ appointment, Steven Hearn, deputy CEO of Willis Group, said: "Paul is ideally qualified for this new role, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the areas of insurance, regulation, finance and governance along with his in depth knowledge and connections throughout Willis. This new appointment will help ensure that Willis Global Captive Management is properly positioned to maintain and further develop our client offerings."
