2024 Microinsurance study to be released

The Microinsurance Network (MiN) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have announced the release date of the Landscape of Microinsurance Study 2023. 

The release will take place at 10:00 - 12:00 CEST, Thursday, 2 May 2024 in Switzerland. In person attendance is by invitation only, while virtual attendance is open for all.

The Landscape of Microinsurance 2023 Study offers insights into the microinsurance sector, revealing key trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities, MiN said in a statement.

For the latest Landscape of Microinsurance Study, 294 insurers provided information on 1,040 products, covering health, life and accident, agriculture, aquaculture and livestock, motoring, property and income. These products covered up to 330 million people in 36 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. This data is the most extensive delivered to date. 

“With the global landscape facing escalating risks ranging from climate change to social unrest, the study serves as a vital resource for stakeholders in the inclusive insurance sphere, providing actionable intelligence for advancing inclusive insurance initiatives worldwide,” MiN stated.
