Aon reveals new head of Asia Pacific captive business

The managing director of Aon's Global Risk Consulting team in Ireland, Alastair Nicoll, has relocated from Dublin to Singapore to lead Aon's captive business in Asia Pacific.

In his role as regional director of Aon Captive & Insurance Management, Nicoll will be responsible for managing Aon's captives in Singapore while developing more captive business around the region.

Nicoll has worked in insurance and for Aon for 26 years. He has held numerous risk finance roles in the UK and Bermuda.

He also was the chairman of Aon's European Captive & ART Development Council for six years, before moving to Dublin in 2005.

“There seems to be a decent interest in captives in Asia Pacific; we have ongoing assignments and interest in China, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore and our network is incredibly interested in bringing new risk finance ideas to its clients," said Nicoll. “I’m looking forward to meeting our clients, colleagues and prospects alike.”
