Grant Thornton Ireland has added Bermuda firm Arthur Morris & Company Limited to its network, expanding its global footprint. The move was announced by Michael McAteer, managing partner at Grant Thornton Ireland, which employs over 2,500 people and 60 partners.
“This is a natural progression of the long-standing relationship between the two firms,” he said. “Bermuda is a key location for international insurance and reinsurance sectors. Together we will bring our clients the local knowledge, international expertise and global presence to help their businesses succeed – wherever they are located.”
Andrew Howie is partner and head of advisory at Grant Thornton Bermuda. “The expansion of Grant Thornton in the Bermuda market will support internationally focused clients to navigate the current economic landscape and arm them to become more resilient in the face of challenges posed by global market volatility, inflationary pressures and technological change,” he said.
“This move will also offer significant employment opportunities through open roles as well as promising excellent career development avenues for current team members in Bermuda.”
Globally Grant Thornton has 68,000 staff across 147 markets.
