Kroll Bond Rating Agency, a New York-based ratings agency, has appointed Carol Pierce to the role of director in KBRA’s insurance group.
In this role, Pierce will focus on captives, reinsurers and alternative capital providers.
Pierce has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, and joins from KBRA after 13 years at Munich Reinsurance America.
At Munich Re she was responsible for market, competitor and client analysis. She initially worked in the specialty-market division and then more recently the reinsurance division.
Prior to this, she managed a team at ratings agency AM Best, responsible for expanding ratings among captive insurers.
Pierce has held a number of underwriting and product development positions at with several major insurance companies.
She is a former member of the board of directors of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association and the International Center for Captive Insurance Education. She has also been an active member of the Captive Insurance Company Association.
