Hanover Stone bolsters captives leadership team

Risk management firm Hanover Stone Partners has appointed John Capasso, Jerry Ferris and Evan Busman as senior risk advisors.

The three executives join the leadership team of Hanover Stone Partners, CaptiveGuardSM, the firm’s specialty practice which provides governance and related advisory services to captives and captive owners.

Capasso has more than 15 years of experience and concurrently serves as president and CEO of Captive Planning Associates, and is a member manager of Captive Planning Resources.

Ferris mostly recently served as director of risk management at Petco Animal Supplies, and prior to that, served as vice president of risk management for Kinetic Concepts.

Busman is a risk management consultant with over 25 years of experience, previously serving as a senior consultant for a global risk management consulting organisation.

“Even as the commercial insurance market continues to offer competitively priced policies, businesses, industry associations and government entities remain committed to alternative risk transfer solutions, including captives,” said John Kelly, founder and CEO of Hanover Stone Partners.

“To meet their expanding needs, we are continuing to build our specialty practice focusing on captive governance and performance by adding the industry’s leading professionals in this area. John, Jerry and Evan all bring extensive experience in captive insurance and we are delighted to welcome them to our team.”
