Marsh McLennan appoints MENA/India CEO

Renee McGowan has been named chief executive of Marsh McLennan, India, Middle East & Africa.

According to Marsh McLennan she will lead a new collaborative effort in the region to deliver innovation solutions and greater client impact at the intersections of the Company’s four businesses: Mercer, Marsh, Oliver Wyman and Guy Carpenter.

McGowan’s appointment is the latest in a string of regional appointments at Marsh McLennan.

In a LinkedIn announcement the company said: “As our clients, colleagues and communities face new challenges and opportunities, Renée will play a pivotal role in bringing together the capabilities from across our businesses and expanding what’s possible for our clients and one another.”

McGowan was appointed president - Asia, Middle East & Africa (AMEA) at Mercer in 2021, based in the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to that she was chief executive, Asia, at Mercer from 2019 to 2021, based in Hong Kong.

McGowan has been a member of Mercer’s executive board since January 2015.

She first joined Mercer as an international employee benefit consultant in London in 2001.
