Ogier adds new partner to Guernsey practice

Richard Sharp has rejoined Ogier as a partner in its corporate, insurance and funds practice in Guernsey.

In a statement on its website Ogier said that Sharp has: “considerable experience in a wide range of corporate and funds matters. His particular specialism is in the Guernsey insurance and reinsurance sector, advising in relation to captives, insurance linked securities, pension risk transfers, cellular structures and regulatory matters. Richard is trusted counsel to local insurance managers and sits on the board of a number of local insurers.”

Sharp previously worked with Ogier from 2007 to 2012. Before re-joining Ogier Sharp was a partner at another, unnamed, Guernsey firm.

“Richard is a talented lawyer with many years of experience in complex, corporate transactions,” said practice partner Christopher Jones. “We're delighted to welcome Richard back to Ogier, adding further strength in depth to our corporate and funds offering in Guernsey.”
