PMA Companies recruits new underwriting executive

PMA Companies’ Specialty Markets Division has welcomed Jeff Dunmars as an assistant underwriting manager.

Dunmars will lead a team of underwriters in support of the firm’s goal to continue to grow in the captive and program area while delivering premier service to its distribution partners and clients.

Stacy Missigman, PMA Companies underwriting director, described Dunmars as a “highly accomplished underwriting executive with over 30 years’ underwriting experience in production and product development roles in large insurance carriers.”

Dunmars was previously underwriting director at AmTrust Financial Services, in Streamwood, Illinois.

Dunmars has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting, Associate in Risk Management, Associate in Risk Management Enterprise-Wide Risk Management, Associate in Reinsurance, Associate in Surplus Lines, Associate in Insurance Data Analytics, Associate in Marine Insurance Management, Associate in Management and the Associate in Technology designations, as well as Certificates in Quantitative Risk Analysis from Michigan State University and in Executive Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
