The South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA) will be holding a webinar on microcaptives next month.
Entitled “Micro Captive Update: What You Need to Know”, the webinar will be on August 1, 2023.
Unveiling the event the SCCIA said: “Join us for this webinar focused on the recent IRS proposed regulations on section 831(b) captives and how the landscape for small captives has – and has not – shifted. Panelists will discuss the status of the proposed regulations at the conclusion of the notice and comment period, the current environment for 831(b) captives, what to expect in an IRS audit, options for those who choose to exit an 831(b) captive, and IRS reporting obligations for 831(b) captives and material advisors.
The speakers at the webinar include Allan Autry, a Tax Partner with Johnson Lambert LLP, a multi-office, niche-focused firm that provides audit, tax, and consulting services to insurance entities as well as nonprofit organizations and employee benefit plans, and Bailey Roese, a partner with Dentons Bingham Greenebaum and a member of Captive International’s Forty Under 40 for 2023.
