University of California hires chief risk officer

Kevin Confetti has been appointed to the post of associate vice president, chief risk officer at the University of California’s Office of the President.

He is responsible for the overall management of the University’s systemwide insurance program that includes employment practices, workers' compensation, general liability, auto, property, construction, hospital professional liability, and other ancillary/special coverages.

Confetti is also a member of the University’s captive insurance company, Fiat Lux, underwriting and claims committees.

He was previously deputy chief risk officer at the University of California from April 2015 to February 2023, having previously been director, employment practices and workers' compensation at the University from July 2006 to April 2015.
