Willis Towers Watson appoints new head of its captive practice
Willis Towers Watson has appointed Peter Carter as the new leader of its global captive practice within its corporate risk and broking (CRB) segment.
Carter, who becomes part of the risk and analytics leadership team, is based in London, and reports to John Merkovsky, head of risk and analytics, CRB.
Prior to this appointment, Carter served as finance director for WTW's investment, risk and reinsurance segment. Before joining WTW he worked at HSBC as the regional head of business finance, retail banking and wealth management Europe.
Merkovsky welcomed Carter’s finance background and in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry. “Under [Carter’s] leadership, we will continue to build on the strong position we have in the captive space and grow the business accordingly," he said.
