Aon strengthens Captive EB Services with Zaniboni as global underwriting chief

Vittorio Zaniboni (pictured) has been appointed to the position of global head of underwriting at AON Captive EB Services, based in Luxembourg.

His responsibilities include developing and implementing underwriting strategies, designing captive reinsurance structures, and providing technical expertise during feasibility assessments and renewal cycles, as well as managing relationships with fronting networks and support the sales team.

He was previously director, captive & insurance excellence leader at EY, also in Luxembourg, from September 2022 to September 2025, where he was responsible for helping captives and (re)insurance companies to improve their technical and governance operations.

Zaniboni worked for Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) for 24 years prior to that, starting as an actuary in February 1998 and then working his way up to eventually be chief insurance officer from February 2018 to February 2022, again in Luxembourg.

He worked in the Actuary Life Department Assicurazioni Generali from 1996 to 1998.
