Assumption University joins edHEALTH

Massachusetts-based Assumption University has joined edHEALTH, a collaborative of educational institutions providing greater healthcare-related savings and services through group purchasing, ownership, and data-driven programmes.

“Having another Central Massachusetts school join edHEALTH is so fantastic. I am honored to welcome Assumption University as our newest member-owner,” said edHEALTH president and CEO Tracy Hassett.

Assumption University is a 121-year-old Catholic, coeducational institution that offers a classic liberal arts education with strong academic programs in business, healthcare, and professional studies.

“Having previously worked at an edHEALTH institution, I knew that Assumption could benefit from joining a larger educational collaborative. Our faculty and staff are the University’s greatest institutional asset, and together with the edHEALTH network, we will be able to do more to support them with better healthcare experiences,” said Jane Clapp, Assumption University’s vice president for finance and CFO.

Hassett also noted, “We look forward to working with the Assumption team to bring greater value in healthcare to the University’s faculty and staff. The unique perspectives and contributions of Assumption’s leadership team will also be a welcome addition to the coalition’s strategic planning currently underway.”
