Eric Runci (pictured) has been appointed to the position of national director of captive programs at BeneRe.

In a statement on LinkedIn BeneRe said that the company was excited to welcome him to the BeneRe team.

The company stated: “Eric brings nearly two decades of experience across pharmacy benefits, voluntary benefits, and distribution strategy, with a strong focus on helping brokers, consultants, and self-funded employers drive better outcomes and control costs. His background includes leading consultative sales efforts centered on lowering pharmacy spend through smart plan design, rebate strategies, utilisation management, and data-driven solutions.

“Throughout his career, Eric has worked closely with broker and TPA partners to deliver customised benefit solutions, leveraging enrollment technology, billing capabilities, and clinical programs across commercial and Medicare populations. Known for challenging the status quo and prioritising alignment over complexity, Eric brings a perspective that fits squarely with BeneRe’s mission.”

Runci previously worked for Amwins, as vice president of sales at its Voluntary Benefits Practice from June 2017 to February 2026 and also as VP Sales at Amwins Rx from January 2023.
