CTCIA calls for support over state captive bill

The Connecticut Captive Insurance Association (CTCIA) is asking for help in its work to support the captive insurance industry in the state.

The CTCIA has asked supporters to join it in showing support for the 2024 CT Insurance Department Captive Insurance legislative proposal (Senate Bill 321).

Connecticut’s Insurance and Real Estate Committee will hold a public hearing regarding S.B. No. 321 ("AN ACT CONCERNING CAPTIVE INSURANCE AND THE CONVERSION OF PROTECTED CELLS") on Thursday, March 7 at 10:00 AM in Room 2D of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, Connecticut. 

The CTCIA said that comments or testimony in support of the legislation can be submitted or attendees can register to testify in person or via an online virtual link.

However, they added that you must register to testify in addition to submitting your testimony in order to participate in the hearing and that registration will close on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 3:00 P.M.  

The speaker order of approved registrants will be listed in a randomised order and posted on the Insurance and Real Estate Committee website on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. under Public Hearing Testimony.
