Parametric insurance will be in the spotlight at the Connecticut Captive Insurance Association (CTCIA)’s upcoming event in April.
Attendees at the 2025 CT Captive Insurance Forum on April 28 will be able to learn how to leverage parametric solutions to manage climate-related risk through a captive insurance company, the CTCIA announced.
The CTCIA said that industry experts will explore the advantages of parametric solutions, including: faster response times for more effective adaptation to emerging risks, such as climate-related risk; reductions in loss investigation complexity; prompt payouts and complements to traditional insurance.
“Parametric solutions are a powerful tool,” said the CTCIA in a statement. “Don't miss the chance to hear about applications for climate-resilient insurance policies firsthand.”
Moderated by Christina Kindstedt, president of Advantage Insurance Management USA, the panel will consist of Yani Wolf, chief executive of CarbonHood Funding and Dr. Marcus Schmalbach, chief executive of RYSKEX.
