Davies buys US loss adjuster
Insurance service provider Davies has strengthened its claims capabilities in the Eastern US with the acquisition of a North-Carolina based loss adjusting firm.
Davies has acquired Budget Claims Services (trading as Barker Claim Services), an independent loss-adjusting firm serving insurers, municipalities and self-insured corporates across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Northeast Tennessee.
Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, Barker Claim Services provides professional claims handling and loss adjusting services predominantly across property, casualty and motor claims.
The acquisition of Barker Claim Services is designed to build on Davies’ existing nationwide claims operations in North America, led by claims solutions chief executive officer (CEO), Don Lederer. It aims to provide additional regional coverage to clients in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Northeast Tennessee.
Davies’ claims capabilities within North America include property & casualty, life & health, transportation, energy and marine insurance markets across all 50 states and parts of Canada. It also includes captive management, forensic accounting, auditing, actuarial, subrogation, excess claims management and risk & inspection solutions.
