FERMA finishes rimap certification

FERMA has completed a five-day rimap risk management certification preparatory course in partnership with Brokerslink, a global broking network, and provided exclusively for Brokerslink members.

The course forms part of a broader regional collaboration with Brokerslink to promote excellence in risk management through facilitating greater access to rimap certification and establishing a high benchmark for risk management standards across Europe.

The five-day preparatory course was delivered by FERMA and incorporated a series of virtual training sessions, and two on-site workshops conducted as part of Brokerslink’s Europe Meeting held in Budapest in March. The intensive programme is designed to prepare candidates fully for rimap certification and covers the principles of enterprise-wide risk management and the practical application of risk management frameworks and standards.

With a network spanning over 45,000 broking professionals in 133 countries, Brokerslink membership spans retail and specialist brokers, as well as specialist companies and tech firms.

Commenting on the partnership, Charlotte Hedemark (pictured), FERMA president, said: “Our educational partnership with Brokerslink is a fantastic example of how we can continue to enhance the level of risk management professionalism across Europe through expanding the reach of rimap certification. By working with them we can provide their members with easy access to the expert knowledge and materials to achieve certification. FERMA sees this very much as a template for further competency-focused partnerships moving forward.”

José Manuel Fonseca, president and chief executive of Brokerslink, said: "We are honoured to work alongside FERMA and contribute to the professional development of our Partners and Affiliates and their clients. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to the ongoing education and advancement of risk management professionals across Europe."
