ICCIE hails VCIA fundraising results
The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has announced that its 20th Anniversary Reception, held on opening night at the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA)’s 39th Annual Conference, yielded close to $60,000 in fundraising, far surpassing previous years.
“Usually, we anticipate about $10,000 coming in from our annual reception sponsorships,” commented Mitch Cantor, ICCIE’s executive director. “Due to the milestone of our 20th anniversary and the high visibility of the VCIA Conference, we netted 500% more fundraising this year. A far better outcome than any of us could have imagined!”
The fundraising will be used to further develop ICCIE’s captive educational offerings and helps solidify the organization’s standing for the future as the captive industry continues to rapidly grow and more professionals seek captive career development.
VCIA chief executive Kevin Mead offered his congratulations to ICCIE and spoke to how important it is for VCIA to see ICCIE thrive. “We, like mostly all captive trade associations and domiciles, are seriously invested in the success and sustainability of ICCIE. And for us it’s that much more personal—since VCIA conceived, designed and implemented this outstanding educational program all the way back in 2000. I am personally absolutely thrilled for ICCIE, and I look forward to continuing to work with them in close partnership.”
“ICCIE is extremely grateful to all of our sponsors and supporters who made this 20th Anniversary Event so amazing,” Cantor added. “This success of ICCIE over these past two decades is testament to the hundreds of individuals who have guided the organization and offered their expertise. We look forward to continuing with our mission of serving the educational needs of the captive industry.”
