ICCIE issues new call for webinar registration

The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has issued another call for people to register for ICCIE's upcoming Hot Topic Webinar “Property Risk in Captives: An Idea Whose Time Has Come?”

The webinar will be broadcast live from the 2024 Vermont Captive Insurance Association annual conference on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 8:45 am – 9:45 am Eastern Daylight Time.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Moderated by Christine Brown of the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, the webinar’s panellists include Derrick Easton of WTW and Ray Rocchio of Keystone Risk Partners. 

In a statement ICCIE said: “First party risk is not often the first line of coverage people consider when assembling a captive program. Yet recent dramatic changes in the property insurance market have driven alternative approaches and structures in reaction to pricing and capacity constraints, with insureds looking to captives to cope with the changing commercial insurance landscape. How can the captive’s capital be enlisted to serve “double duty” for the parent? Panellists will discuss multiple structures and tools – some new and some old – that are being used to harness the precious capacity that remains available in the market. Attendees will come away armed with new ways of thinking about how to tackle interesting and vexing issues related to first party risk.”
