Barclays appoints new captives director
Barclays has appointed Ian Cranidge as its new market director for captive insurance. He replaces Hafi Ali, who was acting market director and is head of international corporate, Jersey.
Cranidge has been with Barclays since 2002, serving in a range of roles, including in leveraged finance and sales finance and as relationship director for power, utilities and infrastructure. In January 2018, he joined the private bank and overseas services business.
Most recently, Cranidge was head of international corporate banking and captive insurance for Guernsey, a role he took up last year.
In his new role, Cranidge will lead the provision of online transactional banking, cash and liquidity solutions and trade (letters of credit) solutions to captive, re/insurance and ILS vehicles domiciled in Guernsey and Isle of Man.
