IMAC reveals fundraising total from annual Golf Scramble
The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) has announced that its annual Golf Scramble, held on October 23, 2026 at the North Sound Golf Club, raised close to $20,000 in support of the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund.
Since its inception, IMAC's Educational Scholarship Fund has raised over $5million, supporting 90 Caymanian students in furthering their education both locally and overseas.
The Golf Scramble brought together industry professionals for a day of friendly competition, networking and charitable giving. Proudly sponsored by Grant Thornton, Honigman and Scotiabank, the event marked another successful year of fundraising, with the generous support of its sponsors helping to create educational opportunities for young Caymanians.
This year, Premium Players (Teneo) claimed first place in the team competition, followed by USA Risk in second place and EY in third.
Pierré Jacobs, Partner, Insurance of Grant Thornton (Cayman) LLP, said: “We're proud to continue supporting the IMAC Golf Scramble and the important work of the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund. It's an event that brings our industry together for a great cause, and seeing the funds raised translate into educational opportunities for young Caymanians makes our involvement particularly rewarding.”
Rob Humphries, Partner, Honigman, added: “We're delighted to support this year's IMAC Golf Scramble and contribute to an initiative that makes a meaningful difference in the local community. Education is an investment in the future, and we're pleased to play a part in helping the next generation of Caymanian talent pursue their ambitions.”
Marcus Stafford, director of captive insurance services at Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman), commented: “For seven years, Scotiabank has supported the IMAC Golf Scramble and its ongoing commitment to education. The event is a great example of what can be achieved when the industry comes together, and we're proud to contribute to a scholarship programme that continues to create opportunities for Caymanian students.”
Additional funds were raised through the event's raffle, with prizes generously donated by the Westin, Sunshine Suites, Cayman Islands Sailing Club, Cayman Physio, Luca, North Sound Golf Club, Market Street Group and the IMAC CCF Committee.
