McCafferty promoted to AVP at Captive Resources

Ian McCafferty (pictured) has been promoted to the position of AVP, captive executive, at Captive Resources, based in Chicago, Illinois.

He was previously AVP, associate captive executive, having been appointed in August 2024.

He joined the company as a program coordinator in December 2018, with a mission to help companies control their insurance costs through the member-owned group captive model and has been steadily promoted upwards since then, becoming first a senior program coordinator in May 2021 and then an associate program manager in September 2022.

Before that he was a brokerage assistant at RT Specialty after being an intern- commercial insurance and risk management at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co after graduating from the University of Kansas after receiving a bachelor of science in finance with a concentration in business analytics.
