Meet Monty: VCIA’s new AI assistant for the captive insurance community
As part of its strategic pillar to strengthen the captive community and produce higher member engagement, the Vermont Captive insurance Association (VCIA) has introduced Monty, an AI-powered knowledge assistant designed to help captive professionals and VCIA members seamlessly access essential and specific VCIA resources and captive information.
According to the VCIA Monty is trained in VCIA’s and member partners’ extensive content, including industry reports, regulatory guidelines, and educational materials, empowering you to make well-informed decisions.
The association said that users can use Monty to:
• Stay Updated on Industry Trends & Insights
o Try asking: “What are the latest trends in captive insurance?”
• Access Regulatory & Compliance Information
o Try asking: “How do I license a captive in Vermont?”
• Explore Captive Formation Opportunities
o Request: “Write an executive summary to convince my CFO to consider captive formation.”
• Get Details on VCIA Events & Conferences
o Try asking: “Why should I attend the VCIA annual conference?”
The VCIA said that unlike general AI assistants, Monty is tailored specifically for the captive insurance industry, connecting you directly to VCIA’s and member partners’ trusted resources without using interactions to train external AI models. This ensures you receive verified, industry-specific insights in a secure environment.
“Monty represents a major step forward in how VCIA members access information,” said VCIA chief executive Kevin Mead. “With this AI-powered tool, members can get quick, accurate answers, freeing up more time to focus on strategic decisions and industry engagement. It will only become more relevant and useful the more information we feed it.”
