New head and insurance function to drive efficiencies at Generali
Generali Global Corporate & Commercial has appointed a new global head of claims and established a new insurance function. The changes follow its restructure announced at the start of this year.
Pedro Ruano, former head of Iberia & LatAm for the business, will be responsible for steering the claims processes at the global level. He has more than 30 years of experience in the corporate insurance industry and has been with Generali since 1992
Ruano will report to Hayden Seach, formerly head of the underwriting function, who now leads a newly created Insurance function that replaces it. Seach will oversee the entire insurance process, “fostering corporate portfolio management and leveraging efficiency in the interdependencies between each underwriting line of business, the pricing, loss prevention and claims processes,” according to the company.
“We are delighted to announce these organisational appointments that will further equip us in executing our strategy and serving our clients at the highest level,” said CEO Manlio Lostuzzi.
“The newly created Insurance function will guarantee a further straightforward management direction amongst the entire insurance processes, improving synergies, efficiency and delivery.”
