New head of captives at GGCC

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GGCC) has announced the appointment of Alessandro Cavallini as the new head of captives, based in Milan.

In a statement on LinkedIn GGCC said: “With over 20 years of experience, his background covers reinsurance, risk management, and insurance governance across P&C, Financial Lines and Employee Benefits. Alessandro brings a strong international perspective and technical expertise and will continue leveraging Captives for underwriting complex risks. 

“We look forward to seeing Alessandro’s impact take shape across our Multinational Business and Captive team!”

Cavallini was previously head of insurance & claims / captive at Cargolux Airlines, from June 2024 to March 2026, based in Luxembourg.

Prior to that he worked at Ferrero in Luxembourg, first as an insurance manager from October 2014 to January 2019 and then as group insurance & risk manager / captive BOD from January 2019 to June 2024.
