New president appointed at Blackwell Captive Solutions

Scott Byrne (pictured) has been appointed to the position of president at Blackwell Captive Solutions · effective immediately. He is based in Denver, Colorado, United States.

Byrne’s new role involves helping midsize employers take control of their health insurance, lower their total cost of risk, and improve the health of their employees and their families.

He was previously as assistant vice president at Captive Resources from October 2023 to March 2025.

Prior to that he was a vice president – sales at ParetoHealth from April 2022 to September 2023, again based in Denver, Colorado.

Byrne worked at Berkley Accident and Health for more than eleven and a half years, again in the Greater Denver Area, and was finally vice president, business development there from February 2017 to April 2022, where he was responsible for developing and expanding group healthcare captive programs in the Western US.
