AM Best to take part in CICA 2023

AM Best has stated that it will sponsor and participate in the annual CICA 2023 International Conference, which will take place March 5-7, 2023, in Rancho Mirage, CA.

AM Best rating services director Dan Teclaw will participate in a session, titled, “Capitalising on Efficiencies of Captive Formations,” which will consider the distinct perspectives of a captive owner, a captive regulatory, a ratings analyst and a captive advisor. He will be joined by Dan Petterson, chief examiner, Vermont Department of Banking & Insurance; Webcor chief financial officer Matt Reece; and Lisa Wall, senior vice president, Lockton Companies.

Emmanuel Modu, managing director of insurance-linked securities at AM Best, will take part in a panel session, titled, “Parametric Risk Transfer – Alternative Capital for the Captive Industry”. He will be joined by Nils Ossenbrink, managing partner, Twelve Capital, and Dr. Marcus Schmalbach, chief executive officer, RYSKEX.

AM Best will also sponsor the networking breakfast on Tuesday, March 7.
