Aon hires new APAC captive director

Aon has appointed Michael Dunsire to the position of regional director captive and insurance management APAC.

He is based in Singapore and started at the position in January.

Dunsire was previously captive & insurance linked security (ILS) consultant at MD Risk Advisory from February 2018 to January 2023.

Prior to that he was independent corporate insurance & alternative risk finance advisory at Entrepreneurial Projects via Advance Concepts from November 2014 to February 2018, where he developed and proposed a major CAT Pool facility for private insurers in the Caribbean using optimisation of pool members via low-risk correlations.
He was also head of analytics, offshore insurance captives/SPV's & NAT CAT/ DFA Modelling at Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford from January 2012 to September 2014.
