Bigglestone highlights Vermont captive growth
New figures released by the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation (DFR) have shown that the state saw 38 newly licensed captive insurance companies in 2023, 9 more licensed on January 1, 2024, plus more applications in the pipeline.
In a statement on LinkedIn, Sandy Bigglestone, the deputy commissioner of captive insurance at the Vermont DFR praised the licensing team that works for her, which includes Christine Brown, Jim DeVoe-Talluto, Amber Walsh and Rebecca Aitchison.
“The 4th quarter of 2023 was one of the busiest times for these rock star professionals,” said Bigglestone. “Their hard work and dedication make the difference in achieving the Vermont DFR's Captive Insurance Division's commitment to excellence. My honourable mention goes to Christine for being my right-hand person, my rock!
“Please join me in celebrating Vermont's captive insurance industry's continued success and good work.”
Bigglestone added that she wanted to echo her celebration with appreciation and gratitude for the entire Captive Insurance Division staff, for their consistent great work with analysis, examinations, and those who she said quietly excel in their daily tasks and make the workplace function smoothly.
