BMS appoints diversity and inclusion head

Specialist re/insurance broker BMS has appointed Louisa Erwin as group head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Based in London, Erwin will report to Roanne Gibbs, BMS global human resources director.

Erwin has significant experience developing and leading DEI initiatives and strategies across 24 countries. She joins BMS from Chubb European Group, where she was head of DEI EMEA. Erwin founded the company’s first DEI Council in 2016 and was responsible for designing and delivering a regional DEI strategy in partnership with executive leadership and regional and global human resources teams.

“Progress towards ensuring BMS is a truly equitable working environment continues to develop at pace, but there is always more that we can do as an organisation,” said Gibbs. “Louisa is an extraordinarily driven diversity, equity and inclusion executive. She has a real passion for working within this arena and will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our DEI efforts. We are delighted to welcome her on board.”
