Fleet maintenance provider brings in captives experience with new hire

TTN Fleet Solutions has hired Tyler Harden as vice president of its service provider network. Harden has experience of developing, creating and launching a captive insurance program, TowCap Premier, which was the first of its kind in the heavy duty towing industry.

TowCap Premier was launched in January 2018 by specialty property and casualty transportation insurer National Interstate. Harden, then at Jim’s Towing Service, was chairman of its executive committee.

Harden said at the time he had been looking for ways to better control insurance costs and improve stability for carriers. Forming a captive turned out to be the best way to achieve that.

TTN said he would now use his experience to look at its insurance arrangements to see how they can be revamped and improved, with more captive business one option that is definitely on the table.

Harden reports to Jeff St. Pierre, the president and CEO, and is responsible for guiding the company's efforts to maximize customer service by continuing to build and refine TTN's service provider network.
