Ford appointed to Marsh strategic risk practice

Benjamin Ford has been appointed senior vice president at Marsh’s strategic risk consulting practice.

From September 2018 to July 2022 Ford was President of FCA US Insurance Company, a captive of motor vehicle manufacturer Stellantis.

Ford was chief strategist of the captive and was responsible for designing insurance products, presenting to the Board of Directors, and obtaining regulatory approval of the captive's business plan from the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services.

He was also head of North America risk management, a post he held since joining the company in 2016.

Before that he was an account executive at Willis Towers Watson from 2014-16, where he facilitated specialised consulting services particularly in the areas of captive insurance and healthcare with a focus on managed care and risk strategies in the healthcare reform environment.
