Generali’s group CRO becomes chair of CRO Forum

Carlo Ferraresi, Generali’s group chief risk officer has been appointed chairman of the CRO Forum, an institution that brings together the chief risk officers of some of the major insurance companies at European level.

The objectives of the CRO Forum, established in 2004 and of which Generali is one of the founding members, are to champion best practice in risk management through publications, to consolidate the alignment of regulatory requirements with the evolution of the sector and to monitor and to provide insights about emerging and long-term risks.

Ferraresi has held the role of vice president of the CRO Forum since 2022, contributing to the identification and management of potential emerging risks for the insurance sector, in particular of geopolitical risks, and the consequent definition of the strategic responses through risk management best practices.
