Grainne Richmond joins BDA board


Aon Bermuda head of captives Grainne Richmond has been appointed to the Bermuda Business Development Agency's board of directors.

Richmond, who has also been president of the Bermuda insurance Managers Association since 2019, succeeds Fiona Beck as a director of the BDA and as audit and risk committee chair.

She is executive vice president and head of captives at Aon Bermuda and has been president of the Bermuda insurance Managers Association since 2019.

Michael Hanson, BDA chairman, said: “On behalf of the BDA, I welcome Grainne Richmond to the board. Grainne’s two decades of risk and insurance solutions experience will most certainly assist the BDA in its critical mission to facilitate inward investment and equitable economic growth in Bermuda.”

Richmond said: “I am pleased to be joining the BDA’s board of directors. Given the macro-economic factors we are faced with the BDA’s mission is more critical than ever and I look forward to contributing to Bermuda’s success at this important time.”

Prior to joining Aon, Richmond was vice president of Strategic Risk Solutions for two years and previously spent nine years at Dyna Management Services Ltd. She spent the previous six years at International Advisory Services headed by David Ezekiel.
