Mercer hires Allianz employee benefit specialist for captive leader role

Mercer has appointed Barry Perkins as its captive and global insurance solutions leader, based in London.

Perkins has over 15 years of experience in risk and insurance, and joins from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, where he served as the regional director for the UK of Allianz Global Benefits.

He previously served as head of account and tender management for Allianz Global Benefits.

Prior to Allianz, he held a variety of roles such as a senior consultant at Towers Watson, and employee benefits manager at HSBC, and a group risk underwriter at Munich Re.
