NCCIA calls for conference presentations

The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has issued a call for proposals for presentations for its 2024 NCCIA Conference which will be held in Asheville, North Carolina.

Anyone who would like to make a panel presentation at the conference are invited to return a request for presentation for consideration by the Conference Planning Committee, chaired by Scott Bailey of Carr, Riggs & Ingram.

The 2024 NCCIA conference will be on April 28 – May 1 at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, Asheville, North Carolina.

According to the NCCIA it is looking for creative and stimulating sessions that provide relevant and germane topics significant to today’s captive insurance industry as well as those that consider the future of the captive industry.

The Committee, in particular, is looking for sessions that offer case studies that lead to solutions to problems in the captive management process. Submissions should include a concise and descriptive title, a summary of pertinent and unique content (no more than 100 words) and a list of proposed panelists. (Panels should include three speakers, preferably from multiple companies, with a captive owner included on the panel.)

The NCCIA said that it encourages submissions to include panels that are diverse in experience, gender, race and/or ethnicity and age where possible.

In addition the NCCIA said that the committee will give greater weight to submissions which encompass the following topics:

·  Insuring Technology

·  Tax Court Litigation; What it’s Looking Like

·  AI’s Impact on the Industry

·  Accounting Update

·  RRG’s & the New NC Statute

·  Guarantee and Warranty Coverage

·  Health Care Costs Impact
